Sol Capasso is a director and editor based in north Italy.
She makes documentaries and audiovisual pieces for associations, foundations, international artists and musicians, she develops independent artistic projects at Camarada Films and is Head of the Audiovisual department at MixerPA Hybrid Creative Company.
She holds a degree in Audiovisual Media at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús in Buenos Aires and also graduated with honors (cum laude) in Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts Brera in Milan. She has also attended several courses such as Screenwritting and Director of Photography at EICTV in Cuba and DIT and Color grading at Sentieri Selvaggi School in Rome.
She has a solid background in the post-production area, in the field of television advertising, during her years at Metrovisión (internship), Bendercine (Buenos Aires) and Xchanges VFX (Milan), where she followed projects for prestigious international advertising agencies such as Young & Rubicam, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and BBDO.
She enjoys also working in the Photography area and operating the camera for independent film projects and audiovisual installations.
Alongside her work in audiovisual field, from 2015 to 2021, she presides the Latin American Association of Cremona where she leads the International Human Rights Film Festival (FICDU) and co-leads the Convegno Internazionale di Politica Latinoamericana.
